Social Media Marketing
Social networks have had a huge impact on businesses all over the work especially in the way they handle their marketing and perceived public image. It is extremely important in today’s day and age that a company be able to manage their perceived image by using social media due to the fact that information is communicated across the globe extremely fast because of the various social networks available. Not only can companies manage their perceived image but they can gather valuable market research data in order to satisfy the maximum number of consumers.
Having a twitter account, I have experienced how companies conduct twitter research first hand. I once tweeted something about a brand of tequila called “Avion” and immediately following my tweet I had a message from the Avion marketing twitter account regarding my tweet and they began to “follow” me. This is a fantastic information system that detects keywords such as tequila and avion and automatically gives this data to the twitter account so that they can automatically act upon it and tend to customers’ needs. In marketing today, it is very important that you are careful with public opinion as it has the ability to spread extremely fast because of how connected everyone is now.
There are a plethora of different ways to make money online and run different businesses through the use of social networks. I’m going to talk about one of these ways which is called Affiliate Marketing. Affiliate Marketing is an umbrella term used to describe making money online. It usually revolves around selling or advertising another’s product or service and receiving money for sales or leads. Of course, that’s not all there is though. There are unlimited ways to make money online if you can think outside the box.
You have two options that include making a website discussed further in the outline below and that brings us to Social Networking and driving traffic to our website. Social Networking plays a very important role. Having a solid social media strategy is key in attracting and converting qualified leads. With over 500 million active users, Facebook is a formidable platform to establish a social presence and more than likely a part of that strategy. One of the most effective ways to utilize Facebook marketing for your business is to create a fan page. Facebook fan pages play an important role to let your business grow and drive more traffic to your websites. It helps you keep a long relationship with your clients and easily let them know your offers and updates. Per person every month 2,646 web pages are visited, 89 Domains are visited, and 57 times people are logged on. The average American spends more than 60 hours a month online, which ends up being 30 straight days a year. The actual time spent online worldwide as a percentage of total Internet hours spent by all users is 22% social networking alone, 36% is other including email and searching, and 42% viewing actual content. With research companies monitoring people on social networks interested in a certain product/service through the use of keywords etc., online affiliate marketing websites can become very successful and produce thousands of dollars a day. The effect that Social Networking has had on business of all sorts and on marketing is immense. At the end of the day the website site will only last if the content is of high quality and is useful. Whatever you put in is what you get out and that will determine how successful you are.
Outline:
Two Options:
1. Making Money from a blog, attract readers, and get paid for affiliate ads, or promoting a product etc.
2. Making Money from a Niche Web Site – you build a site and put content on it.You start putting products that relate to the niche and start building traffic and links.
Steps:1. First it involves choosing a topic. I would recommend something that you are passionate about instead of something that you think will make a lot of money. Remember quality over quantity. You want to put good stuff on there instead of a bunch of garbage.
2. Second is the design. The webpage has to look pretty. We all know we judge a book by its cover, and more often than not when we are surfing the web and we come to across an ugly website we don’t give it any value.
3. Third you choose a domain name – it has to be short and catchy.
4. Fourth is content, and this is extremely important. You have to high quality content. I have found that it is best to write your own articles because it allows for a great deal of search engine optimization. Also I say quality over quantity, but you have to make sure you are consistently updating your website so the content is growing.
